Most Trinitarian apologists argue that each Person of the Trinity is YHWH yet there is only 1 YHWH!

The noted "intellectual" Evangelical Carl Henry warns not to fall into the clear, inescapable contradiction of saying “3x = 1x."

"Some critics consider orthodox representations of the Trinity a mathematical monstrosity; the doctrine, they contend, is as fallacious in its claim for the three-in-one God as is the formula 3x = 1x. But this description patently distorts the doctrine. Christian theology affirms neither that three gods are one God nor that three isolated persons are one God. Rather, it affirms three eternal personal distinctions in the one God, in short, 3x in 1y. Such a formulation is both intelligible and noncontradictory."

The fact that no one can ever understand this so-called teaching is highlighted by the ancient dictum:
“Try to Understand It and You’ll Lose Your Mind.
Try to Deny It and You’ll LOSE YOUR SOUL!”

If trinitarians can not understand or define from scripture the god they preach they are in effect worshipping what they do not know. They worship in admitted ignorance. If you do not know God you cannot worship Him and if you attempt to worship what you do not know it is idolatry.

IN ADDITION Jeremiah 9:23-24 says that God wants people to understand and know Him. To those who love God , God says in Pslam 91:14-16 , He will deliver them because they know His name. God will protect and answer them when they call: deliver, honor, give immortal life and satisfy with His salvation. God is much more knowable than Trinitarians think. Having Gods Spirit is what makes Him knowable.

It seems that the violation of God first two of the Ten Commandments is a very unpopular topic. Then again, Jesus told us of the Great Commandment of God to love him would prevent us to place someone else in His place - which churches have done for a very long time. I understand it can make us sad for our brethren in churches who claim Jesus was our creator and eternal God. I hoping for a time when God calls all of us to true faith and understanding - and overcome this false doctrine.

I agree LeeB. God wants us to know Him and in seeking Him diligently, He will reveal more and more about who He is.
