Ezekiel 34:12. The words, “on a day of clouds and darkness” reveals the time of this prophecy. Joel 2:2 , mentions the event. The removal of the shepherds occurs before the day of clouds and darkness. The shepherds in this chapter are remarkably similar to today’s shepherds , because that is who Ezekiel is writing about, and those existing from the rise of the Roman Catholic Church until now. Ezekiel 34:11 speaks of Gods searching for His sheep and are only rescued on the day of clouds and darkness. Scripture tells us the church became scattered but this scattered people will be gathered from the place they were scattered at the return of Jesus. Matthew 24:29 again is darkness,
Matthew 24:31 is the gathering of the sheep that were scattered. Ezekiel 34 is a prophecy against the ministry. Ezekiel 34:5-6 is the scattering more than likely due to the harsh treatment of the shepherds/ministry. Ezekiel 34:7-11 People who have left the worlds churches now have no shepherd/minister so GOD HIMSELF TAKES OVER AND REMOVES MEN AND TENDS HIS SHEEP HIMSELF.
This prophecy was fulfilled after the death of the Apostle John, the last man on Earth who was given the office of Apostle and the responsibility to preach the gospel of Christ. Great deception came even before John died and this deception grew to what we see today. What began on Pentecost, one church, one spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism and one God had mutated into 44,999 other churches. This is why God took over and why Ezekiel wrote the prophecy in chapter 34.
