Yes these midwives Sifra and Pua did not obey their government who commanded them to do wrong. 2 of my Dutch translations The Book (Het Boek) and the Basis Bible ( Basis Bijbel) say in verse 21 Because the midwives had done right in the sight of the Lord, He also bore them children , of His own.
