Thursday 9-12-24 5th. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, Elul 8 5784 85th. Summer Day

Monday 11-13-23 2nd. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, Cheshvan 28 5784, 52nd. Fall Day

“Faith without works is dead” is a phrase that appears in the Bible, in the book of James 2:14-26. The passage explains that faith alone is not enough to save a person, but that faith must be accompanied by good works.

The passage gives examples of how faith and works are intertwined, such as how Abraham was justified by his works when he offered his son Isaac on the altar, and how Rahab the harlot was justified by her works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way. The passage concludes that just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead 12345.

Abrahams work was of faith. The law was not revealed until Moses so then we know the work of Abraham was not of the law. The law is our own works whereas grace is GOD working in you, you are GODS WORKMANSHIP , Ephesians 2:10 and the faith to leave Moses and the schoolmaster of the law to come to grace is counted by GOD as righteousness, the righteousness of GOD by faith and not the works of the law. Romans 3:28 No one is justified by the law, Galatians 3:11 . If a person has GODS HOLY SPIRIT then GOD WORKING in them should be evident but if no fruit is born then this is why faith without works is dead. Paul did not work in the law, Philippians 3:9 This work is GODS LOVE in a person by the HOLY SPIRIT OF THE FATHER. Romans 13:10 Romans 5:5 The two commandments Jesus gave are greater than the Ten Commandments, Mark 12:30,31 The law was never used for salvation but to deter sin and show the need for a savior. Jesus did not abolish the law, it is still in FULL FORCE today, not one jot or tittle is lacking and it still condemns sinners to death. The church has escaped the old covenant by the sacrifice of Jesus and his blood sacrifice was the payment just as the symbolic Passover lambs blood caused the death angel to pass over the carnal Israelites. Jesus is now the new covenant, Isaiah 42:6 and the saints are now under grace and not law.

The church is not comprised of just the nation of Israel. The church is Israel, plus the Gentile nations joined to her. Paul refers to this as the “commonwealth of Israel.” And he uses the analogy of a cultivate Olive tree to illustrate this great mystery. The tree is comprised of natural branches (Israelites), and wild ones (the Gentiles), who have been grafted in contrary to nature.

The tree is Christ, and the root is the fathers, the foundation of the church, connecting both the Jew and Gentile to Abraham—the father of many nations. As it is written, “Foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, ‘In you all the nations shall be blessed’” (Galatians 3:8).

“Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all” (Romans 4:16). “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29).

I did not say the church was carnal Israel but spiritual Israel. The gentiles were grafted in to replace the unbelieving carnal Israelites . The church is spiritual Israel, the Israel of GOD. Once grafted in the gentiles become part of the olive tree or spiritual Israel. The root of this olive tree are the people listed in Hebrews 11 the tree is not Christ but all of Israel, the church. The unbelieving branches were broken off Israel, not Christ as they were never In Christ to begin with . Being in the olive tree is to be in the new covenant which is Christ. The root was in Christ too but these ancient saints saw these things afar off and before the first advent and the gentiles after the first advent. The faith was the same regardless of the time. Romans 11:24 notice, it says their own olive tree. Jesus did not even exist during the time of the root of the tree so he is not the root , the tree or the branches, he is the one that all the believing olive tree had faith in and believed. This means the entire tree ; root and branches, is the church the bride of Christ. Unbelieving Israel is a fig tree , they produced no fruit, Christ cursed the fig tree for this reason. Abraham was a gentile, in his time there was no Israel. Abraham became a Christian and today all Christians are of Abraham. The church is composed of people from righteous Able unto today and it’s members are no longer Israelite , Jew or gentile but a new creation in Christ . This explains how the elect in Revelation, the 144,000 , are spiritual Israel, the believing olive tree. They are not carnal unbelieving Israel .

Yes, I know.
Is it not a fact that only the church, saints, Christians, will be in the first resurrection ? The rest of humanity either lives into the millennium or rises in the second resurrection. Given this, righteous Able, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and others were Christians, members of the church of GOD. Luke 13:28 Matthew 8:11

Notice also that all these people lived before the law was revealed through Moses. Then, even after the law there were Christians. King David was a Christian and in the church of GOD. David had the Holy Spirit , Psalm 51:11 as did all the prophets and prophetesses.

The church has existed long before the law, grace is much older than law. The new covenant is older than the old covenant. Faith in Christ is timeless. It does not matter what time it was, grace and faith resulting in imputed righteousness was at work. The church is older than the nation of Israel which should expose the truth concerning replacement theology.

There was no replacement because the church was always GODS people in the spirit. Israel came later and the prophecy concerning Abraham and his spiritual descendants that shows the continuation of the church to Christ and the Apostles then after carnal Israel’s rejection of Jesus the church went into the time of the gentiles.

At some future time the church saints, living or dead will all be sealed in their human spirit taking on the divine nature of GOD and Christ, a nature of love, righteousness and will be glorified at the second advent.
