The Wrath of God and The Day of the Lord (kogmissions.com)
Hello Lori/Tracy,
I understand it more simply. Consider, preliminarily

The key to understanding the book is given in the famous verse

Revelation 13:18 BSB
Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is 666.

Consider on the first part "Here is a call for wisdom". Of what wisdom is the bible speaking? There is only one. That is the Wisdom of God. It is the Old Testament. All interpretations are from the Old testament.

What mark?
Revelation 13:16 KJV
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

From Ezekiel 9
4Go throughout the city of Jerusalem, said the LORD, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men sighing and groaning over all the abominations committed there.
5And as I listened, He said to the others, Follow him through the city and start killing; do not show pity or spare anyone! 6Slaughter the old men, the young men and maidens, the women and children; but do not go near anyone who has the mark. Now begin at My sanctuary.

From Zechariah 3
1Then the angel showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.

Here is the interpretation
The marks pertain to babylon. The forehead are sent to babylon. Why? Sighing and groaning over abomination implies a lukewarm love of one's God. God is the One True Love. The mark is applied to the "faithful".

The right hand is the result of babylon. The cultural taint of the high priest Joshua by the ways of babylon. The taint can be cleansed for the "faithful" by obedience to God.

The number 666 is the earthly compromises of the 7 seals, 7 trumpets and 7 vials. The Book of Revelation is an oracle for the faithful to obey the decree of God.

A synopsis of the beasts of Revelation.

There are 3 beasts in the Book.
1) A beast from heaven
2) A beast from the sea
3) A beast from the earth.

What is a beast?
From Daniel 7, there 4 beasts and are revealed to be hegemons which affect Israel, the first born nation of God. They are from the sea (pagan). The first is a lion with wings (babylon) the second is a bear (medo persia) the third a leopard (hellenistic-grecia) and the fourth with the horns (logically rome).
The beast from the sea of Revelation (Rev 13:1-2) are a composite of the the beast of Daniel 7 - ten Horns, like a leopard, feet of a bear and mouth of a lion. Note the order of the attributes (in reverse).

What is a hegemon? It a political idea that renders dominance for it's adherents.

Interpretation
1) The dragon is a political entity amongst the angelic host that is contrary to the rule of God. As per Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Michael's name is a question "who is like God?" A third of the angels answered in the negative - the army of the dragon.
2) The beast is christendom that is derived directly from the roman civilization (last byzantine heir was the 15th century with pretenders afterwards all the way to the 19th centurty)
3) The false prophet is christendom derived from the fallen beast. jamestown, virginia 1607 was the seed of the most exceptional republic of usa. It is the defacto leader of western christian civilization.

What is 1260 days?

Revelation 11:1Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff and was told, Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers there. 2But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months. 3And I will empower my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.

Interpretation
It is their title. The 2 witnesses are the Old Testament, and the New Testament as witnessed by the prophets, psalmists and the Messiah.

It is shown in Revelation 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Why a sackcloth? rome suppressed the faith by first persecution and then by a state religion. The Scriptures were tightly controlled and was subject to the whims of the state. For example, it was made is a crime to translate and disseminate the Gospels - other than in latin.

In 1539 the Great Bible (OT, NT and Apocrypha) was published in the english vernacular and was authorized to be read in every church in Britain. It was accesible to all free men, no longer controlled by the state elite.

When did the political suppression of the citizen christians begin?
"His importance as a figure in Church history is as the instigator of a the Great Persecution of Christians which produced many martyrs. His wife, known historically as Prisca, but in Christian tradition Alexandra, was among these martyrs. He increased the cult of the Emperor, calling himself the son of Jove, and tried to revive the worship of the Roman gods.
In about 297 an edict was made that all soldiers and Imperial officials must sacrifice to the gods - failure to do so resulted in dismissal. "
True Christians can no longer hold office in the empire.

What is the duration
1539 - 297 = 1242 solar years.
1242 * 365.25 / 360 = 1260.1125 lunar years
(from Diocletian suppression to the printing of the Great Bible in english)

In Daniel 7:25, the little horn of blasphemy suppresses the saints for a time, and times, and half a time. That is a season plus 2 seasons and half a season = 3.5 years = 42 months = 1260 days converted to 1260 years. It is post Antiochus Epiphanes, it is post rome.

In Daniel 12:7 "And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.,

The he shall have accomplished to scatter should be rendered, "When the power of the shatterer of the holy people shall come to an end."

The end implies when the Book of Life is opened. As Daniel 12:2And many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, but others to shame and everlasting contempt.a 3Then the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens,b and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.
This is the end times, post Antiochus Epiphanes,
