Elohim is article H430 in Strongs Concordance can refer to Almighty God, angels or men. The best translation is “mighty one”. With this in mind what do you think about the following scriptures. Psalm 82:1-6. Micah 4:5. John 10:34-36.

A message is contained in these and other connecting scriptures. Yahweh and Elohim do not mean the same thing. Yahweh is the Lord God Almighty who is also called Elohim but Elohim can also be speaking of an angel or a man. The text must give more information to determine the proper application along with other scriptures dealing with these words. Elohim is translated “God” or “god” to show the difference. Jesus was a god or Elohim a mighty one a son of Yahweh, the Almighty one. In Genesis 1:1. In the beginning gods created……. Some translations show this. This was God Almighty and the holy angels. It is not until Genesis 2 that we see only one who is called the Lord God or Yahweh God. Jesus was not Yahweh but he was a god (Elohim) by the will of his God and Father. Yahweh called those to whom the word of Yahweh came Elohim: this is humanity’s potential to become “like” Yahweh. Jesus was created in the image of Yahweh and was an Elohim and we are to be created in the image of Jesus and become Elohim. Isaiah 43:10 totally rules out anyone becoming another Yahweh.

Paul said, eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man what GOD has prepared for the saints. Peter said that we have a very precious promise that someday we will partake of the divine nature, the nature of GOD, when we enter the kingdom but Jesus being the first born had this nature from birth.
