Usually a new Christian has come out of some type of deception, I came out of the Worldwide Church of God. Others here came out of various other organizations. We all began asking questions; who, what, where, when, how and why and desiring answers. We all prayed seeking those answers . When the answers came they did not come all at once but gradually over time. When coming out of a deception we should question everything leaving no stone unturned. We should approach this by acknowledging we know nothing and prove all things over again. If we do not do this we may continue to have excess baggage from the deception. We should never assume that we have completed the task because it is a life long one. We should realize how we were deceived in the first place and who the deceivers were and their methods. When we have discovered a truth we must acknowledge where it came from, not a man but Yahweh through Christ. We should never put our trust in any man ever again even if he knows some truth. We need to develop spiritual discernment to test the spirits and that inner voice that enters our own mind speaking in a still small voice . When we study, meditate and pray and hear the voice we arrive at truth and that truth must agree with all other truth not breaking the word of Yahweh. This process is building on the foundation of the prophets, Apostles and chief corner stone. We should never grieve or quench the Holy Spirit. We are constantly increasing in faith, knowledge and wisdom. Above all we must grow in agape, the greatest gift of all.
When I first came out of the WCG I realized that I was , while deceived , committing idolatry and blasphemy and asked Yahweh to forgive me. We should always be ready to answer anyone who asks in sincerity about our hope. We should should not think more of ourselves but be humble, merciful and forgiving. We should confront lies and deception with the truth in wisdom and caution knowing when to speak and when to be silent. When in need we should never go to man but to God, who is first in our lives. Each of us should grow in proportion to how much we invest ourselves in our calling, never burying our talent. This writing can’t cover everything but Yahweh will reveal to us those things not included here.
