Because of and error in the Latin Vulgate translation in Exodus 34:35 where the words “his face was radiant or glowing” referring to Moses, were rendered, “his face was horned” , thus leading many in times past to believe that Jewish people had horns. There is a statue by Michelangelo at Rome depicting Moses with horns. This error crept into other translations as well. This is an example of how a mistranslation can lead to false beliefs.
