Jesus is Lord of the sabbath. Jesus is the promised rest the sabbath foreshadowed. Gods love is the fulfillment of the law and Jesus had this love therefore the works of the law did not apply to him. Jesus was not born under the law, his mother was. Jesus was the new covenant in the flesh, Gods righteous servant. Isaiah 42:6 . The law was a shadow but Christ was the light of the world, John 9:5 . Jesus was the fulfillment of the sabbath.
