Jesus was created in the image of the invisible Yahweh. This does not mean; omnipresent, omnipotent, eternal or omniscient . The image was Godly righteousness and love. Jesus, like Yahweh could not be tempted with evil, was totally incapable of sin. Jesus was created this way but we must be recreated to be in the image of Jesus who was created in the image of the invisible Yahweh. Some teach that Jesus could have sinned because he was tempted and misquote James 1:13 by only saying God cannot be tempted leaving off the last two words, “with evil”.
God can be tempted or tested but not with evil. Strongs G3985 includes to test or tempt , Matthew 4:7 . Now Jesus was tempted in the wilderness by Satan , who knew Jesus was not Yahweh but a man and Satan thought he could get the man to sin but to Satans surprise Jesus did not sin thus proving what Colossians 1:15 says. Jesus as a man had that divine nature that we hope to partake of in the kingdom of God. 2 Peter 1:4 , the precious promises of our being in the kingdom and having the divine nature, that we may at that time be participating in the divine nature. We will then be unable to sin or be tempted with evil. We do not have this nature presently, it is acquired when we enter the kingdom. Jesus was conceived with it.
