It's alarming to see how so many non-trinitarians keep falling into the trinitarian translators' trap of capitalizing logos in John 1:1 (e.g., Word) and confusing grammatical gender with biological gender, i.e., applying personal pronouns to the logos (he, him).
The first to do this was the Roman Catholic Douay/Rheims Bible version, translated from the Latin by Gregory Martin in 1582. Before him all known English translations from the Greek, not the Latin, referred to the logos as "this" and "it."
