There is a spiritual principle that holds for all humanity in Galatians 6:7 What a man sows he will also reap. Job gives a similar comment. Job 4:8 Those who sow trouble reap the same. Then Solomon, Proverbs 22:8 Sow injustice reap disaster.
Jesus expounded on this principle in Matthew 7:16,17,18 We can identify these sowers and reapers by the fruit of their doings. The sowing and the reaping are related to good or evil fruit. In this teaching we are brought back to Eden where the choice between the fruit of two trees would determine the destiny of humanity.
Remember, whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. Adam sowed death and that is what humanity reaps. The first Adam brought death to us all but the second Adam brings life. This death is everlasting because the fruit of everlasting life was withheld after sin entered the world. Genesis 3:22,23,24 Many people have a problem when reading the Old Testament writings. They see what they think is a cruel GOD. They see in the new covenant a GOD of love and cannot justify in their minds what seems to them to be a contradiction. They are reading scripture and applying human reasoning rather than spiritual reasoning. What GOD did was the direct result of what Adam sowed. GOD gave Adam what Adam chose. GOD did not force Adam to eat the fruit of either tree but did inform him of the danger involved with the tree of the kn44owledge of good and evil. GOD had no fault in what Adams choice was. GOD had no fault in all of what followed afterwards.
Even though GOD knew in eternity Adam would sin HE still created Adam and allowed Adam to choose which is proof of the free will of mankind. The pain, suffering and death that resulted from Adams choice is GOD letting us reap what Adam sowed. Even though things looked hopeless for humanity the lessons GOD would teach and the shadows of HIS love HE incorporated into HIS actions from Eden forward were undeserved of humanity . As the centuries passed the light of GOD was declared by the prophets to reveal to those with understanding the hope of a messiah that GOD would provide. Remember John 3:16 GOD gave HIS son, the only righteous man that ever lived, and sacrificed him to save us from Adams free will decision to obey Satan rather than his Creator. These things were written about in the book of Hebrews and other scriptures in both old and new covenants. Some people resort to blaming GOD and falsely accusing HIM for what they perceived as cruelty and see no reason to read or study the law. These people set themselves up as GODS judge in a similar manner as Job did. Job 4:17 Job 38:1,2 Job 34:5,6,7,8,9 . Paul is said by many to have taught Christians to keep some of the law, but this is not true. Paul taught Gentiles about the law because it was what humanity needs saved from. Paul explained in detail how the law was just a shadow but these shadows had a message that foretold of the coming of the messiah. If you were convicted of a crime and sentenced to death but never understood the crime you were accused of committing wouldn’t you want to know ? The unconverted just say, “ Jesus saved me from my sins” , not even knowing what sin really is. Mark 7:20 These ignorant people think sin is doing or saying something bad. Jesus made it clear that all sin is lust in our thoughts and words and deeds only reveals our inner most self as evil. Humans have a defiled spirit due to what Adam did in Eden. All humanity are now children of the devil. GOD created Adam and Eve spiritually neutral neither good or evil having no knowledge of either one. James 4:17 At that time they were GODS children but once Adam sinned we all became children of the devil. Will you judge and accuse GOD oh child of the devil ?
Another spiritual principle; whoever you render your self a servant to obey you are the servant of the one you obey whether of sin to death or obedience to righteousness. Romans 6:16 John 8:38
Adam rendered himself a servant of Satan because he obeyed Satan. If you were to study how GOD bent over backwards with excess of mercy and love for humanity yet time after time they basically spit in HIS face. Punishment seems cruel to the one receiving it and apparently to some who have read scriptures about it. They set themselves up as a judge of GOD. BE CAREFUL AS YOU KNOW NOTHING WHEREAS GOD IS OMNISCIENT.
You make yourself like Job who was righteous in his own eyes and had to be taught a valuable lesson which was, “I have heard about you by the hearing of the ears but now my eyes have seen you” , Job repented in dust and ashes, will you.
Woe to the man who strives with his maker. Isaiah 45:9 Romans 9:20,21 Daniel 4:35 GOD has built the house and has every right to burn it down if HE so desires. Many stories are told in the old covenant that contain violence and death. If GOD decided to recall HIS breath of life and all life on earth died it would be HIS right to do so. Job 34:10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17 Does GOD take pleasure in the deaths of wicked people ? Ezekiel 33:11,12
The law teaches us that sin will bring punishment and that punishment is death, that all humans are sinners and deserve to die forever. If not for Christ this would have been the destiny of humanity. This is what Adam did to us all and the downward spiral into the depths of darkness was the result in the generations that followed. Humanity has given GOD every reason for GOD to destroy us all but HE is going to let us bring our own selves to this point in the future because if HE did not intervene and send Christ back we would exterminate ourselves. Matthew 24:22

Scripture says the law was a schoolmaster, it has things to teach us , but if we think it has no value then we never learn . Galatians 3:24
