It is very easy to see how king David was a type of Christ. God called David a man after His own heart. Yet David had his sins and was not stoned to death for them because David was a Christian under faith and grace with access to forgiveness upon repentance. David had Gods Holy Spirit, Psalm 51:11 , and looked forward to Christ while we look back, but faith is timeless either way.
