Come on, there is no issue praying to the risen son of God, our mediator, who was given immortality from our Father.

Come on, there is no issue praying to the risen son of God, our mediator, who was given immortality from our Father.
actually there is God is a jealous God and he never commanded us to pray to anyone else but him, praying to a man is idolatry PAul says very clearly by the spirit

Eph 5:20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, (ESV2011)

Paul is very strict here we are to give thanks always and for everything to God the father, giving thanks is prayer and Paul says that this is Always to the father in the name of Yeshua. so according to Paul it is only to the father by the power of the name of Yeshua. so no you cannot pray directly to Yeshua only to the father by Yeshua's name. Yeshua cannot hear your prayer except by the power of the father Yeshua is not ominscirent.

Rev 1:1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, (ESV2011)

we are here talking about the risen christ and in rev1 it says the revelation of Yehua the messiah which GOD GAVE HIM, now if Yeshua were omniscient he would certainly know his own revelation but no he does not it is God who gives it to him so he not onmipresent and could not hear your without the father.

The risen son of God, the lord Jesus, he is not an idol.

Check out 1 Chron 29:20. Its the same concept with YHWH, and the king Jesus.

actually it's not the same situation there are words that were mistranslated by trinitarians in essence this verse only says that they paid hommage to the king and to Yehovah and that is nowhere near prayer. giving hommage or honor is absolutely legal and if it had been prayer Yehovah's angel would have struck them down look at lev 10 they died for the wrong incense. One way or another Paul is clear and he was speaking from the spirit, why do you not follow Paul and realize that if you want to pray to Yeshua who even explains what prayer is you arre contradicting both of them, and the Bible as a whole. prayer directed at a human being is idolatry no matter how you slice it, being raised by God does not mean you replace God in the essence of you prayer which Yeshua explains is a very personal relation with your father only, Yeshua does not replace this, he in fact prays to the father and has this extremely personal relation ship with him also which is a private relatonship with your father.

this is my study i think you should take a look at how Yeshua explained prayer, i think when you look at his words and just how deep prayer with the father is for him , you won't deny what he says.

So, even though God the Father & Jesus, the risen son of God, both make their abode in us, per John 14, if we pray to God the Father we are good but if we pray to the son of God, as the son of God (ie. not as God), then we should be struck down? Come on. I've heard enough.

they make their abode in us and we make our abode in them it goes both ways, does that eman anybody can pray to us of course not. Just because Yeshua is the frst risen does not make him the one you pray to just because we are in relationship, we pray to the father by the authority of his name not to Yeshua if you pray to a man it is idolatry. you are making up this prayer theology of your own mind it is not scripture just because you want it to be, God has laws and they must be followed or else why even say you believe.

Eph 5:20 giving thanks always for all to Elohim the Father, in the Name of our Master יהושע Messiah, (TS98)

Paul tells you how to pray and so does Yeshua and neither says you can pray to Yeshua, and Neither does God, it then becomes a human invention which is trinitarian.

JP Parent & Bvenski,

Thank you for your comments. Please don't get mad at me but both of you along with me are trying to follow our leader Christ. We are striving to show love and appreciation to our Heavenly Father the Creator of the universe. We live on a planet filled with lies. The original tree was of the knowledge of good and bad. There is good and bad in everything including the bible since it was written by humans over hundreds of years. Then it was translated by humans some with pure motives and some with evil/ bad ones. There is truth and lies in the bible if we are honest about it. With that being said, when Jesus returns the light will illuminate not only our hearts and motives but the lies from the truth. Following Jesus helps us on the way to truth and then life. When I found out the truth about JW, it was painful that I had been lied too with the motive of manipulating me and taking advantage of my youthful energy for building projects and recruitment, my money, time etc. Now whether you pray to Jesus or not - that is your choice and we should not condemn each other. Jesus told us to stop condemning or judging. We are all in the same boat. We desire to know the truth and wholeheartedly want to do the right thing but we need to not forget that love builds up. Let's come together in what we have in common and allow room for differences. Do you really think that if someone prays to Jesus or thinks He is God that a loving Creator would condemn that person? It's not a matter of I'm right and your wrong its a matter of when all things are revealed can we personally make the changes to acknowledge the truth God reveals? I know I'm wrong about a lot of things and was wrong for years in the JW religion. I have no leg to stand on to condemn my fellow human - my brother or sister because they believe something different that I think is wrong. It hurt my heart to see Eric condemn Sir Anthony and the other way around. Especially since the only time we will know that the way we understand things is the absolute truth is when God and His Son tell us so. I guess I'm a "doubting" Thomas in this regard, I'm not going to condemn someone else's beliefs until I see the nail holes as it were and even then I'm not the judge. Our Heavenly Father has taken care of that.

Please I enjoy both of you and your comments. I learn things from both of you!

JP Parent & Bvenski,

Thank you for your comments. Please don't get mad at me but both of you along with me are trying to follow our leader Christ. Hi london I know what you are saying about human beings, but then you would be saying the text are no longer inspired and God was never in control, the why read them, why would you even consider christianity if God was not in charge. The text are inspired and true anyone who has studied the Bible will see the frauds. Yes there are some who are evil, who use ambiguous text to try and sway people and these are usually trinitarian but can be others, the main difference with me is I am trying to empower unitarians so they can continue in unitarianism, which will never happen if they continue to espouse trinitarian error. I do not give ambiguity to anyone I debate with, I give clear untouched verses that have no textual variances and ephesians 5:20 is one of them

as can be seen with the GRV it shows where there were changes as in verse 21 where the alxandrian and bizantyne wrote christ and the textus receptus and the scriveners write God

Eph 5:20 giving thanks always for all to Elohim the Father, in the Name of our Master יהושע Messiah, (TS98)

Eph 5:21 subjecting yourselves to each other in the fear of Elohim. (TS98)

this is the english translation verse 21 which in your opinion would it be christ or God, in reading the bible it is clear that the fear of Yehovah is the beginning of wisdom (proverbs), I wont cite all the verses you should know them, so in my opinion the bible teaches that it is God and christ is a nepharious addition for which they will pay for.

As for prayer there are some who have caved to the trinitarians, and by this in 5 to 10 years those unitatarians will be sent into the great delusion because they have believed a lie, and will become trinitarians again. Just like the adventists who started as unitarians espousing trinitarian interpretation and are now trinitarian. But prayer is not commanded to Yeshua anywhere only trinitarians want this to prove Yeshua is God.

Paul is not ambiguous in his words " giving thanks always for all to Elohim the Father" he says giving thanks always and for all, I think these two words cover the whole of prayer, it is not ambiguous. Going astray from these clear and precise words is blasphemous as it is God through Yeshua who was speaking to Paul.

It get's even worse when it is Yeshua when he exlains prayer in matthew he says to go into your inner chamber and close the door, the inner chamber here is your heart, and here you pray to the father as he taught us. We are talking here of a close interpersonal relationship that Yeshua sacrificed HIS LIFE to GIVE us, if you have any idea what that means, you would know how wrong it is to disregard his words here.

Now these people are trying to remove the father and put Yeshua in his place, do they think the father will be happy with them, or even worse do they think Yeshua will be happy with them removing his father from his place and disregarding his sacrifice, the sacrifice of his life to give us the right to speak directly to his father, he died for this and if you do not acknowledge this, who would you be to call yourself a follower of christ disregarding his sacrifice in this way, you run the risk of being told

Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, because many, I say to you, shall seek to enter in and shall not be able. (TS98)

Luke 13:25 “When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Master, Master, open for us,’ and He shall answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ (TS98)

Luke 13:26 then you shall begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ (TS98)

Luke 13:27 “But He shall say, ‘I SAY TO YOU I DO NOT KNOW YOU, WHERE YOU ARE FROM. DEPART FROM ME, ALL YOU WORKERS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.’ (TS98)

and this is what I am trying to avoid and keep getting disregarded in view of the truth. If you see any ambiguity in what I said tell me and I will clarify further, if people think I am just trying to be right they don't know me, I do not argue ambiguity I argue what is clear words so they can get back on track and follow Yeshua, I have written hundreds of pages FREE OF CHARGE not for money but my own time I give so they can stop imagining the texts and following what is said. Others like the ones they follow do it for money and it is in their best interest to create ambiguity, ambiguity sells books truth does not it ends the argument.

So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with 👉the Lord👈 about this, that it should leave me. But 👉he said👈 to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for 👉my power👈 is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that 👉the power of Christ👈 may rest upon me. 2 Cor 12:7-9

This is a clear example of Paul praying to Jesus because Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, up in heaven. Paul was not communicating with Jesus right in front of him. Nope. The risen lord Jesus, who now has an immortalized body, will return bodily at the future parousia.

And now for the one-two punch:

I write these things to you who believe in 👉the name of the Son of God👈, that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward 👉him👈, that if we ask anything according to 👉his will👈 🚨🚨👉he👈 hears us🚨🚨. And if we know that 🚨🚨👉he👈 hears us🚨🚨 in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of 👉him👈. 1 John 5:13-15

The name of the son of God is Jesus or Yeshua, if one prefers. Jesus hears us. Since Jesus is at the right of Father, up in heaven, he hears us through prayer because we are not up in heaven. We have to communicate to Jesus with prayer, though the spirit, because Jesus is not physically on earth right now.

The son of God is not an idol. I refuse to believe that praying/talking to the lord Jesus is idolatry.

With that said, praying/talking to the so-called "God the Son", aka another Jesus, is a very dangerous practice. Beware.

I ain't mad at cha London. 🙂

I ain't mad at JP Parent either. We are just disagreeing, strongly. 😒👉👈🧐

And thats ok. We have to be able to dialog.

I ain't condemning nobody. We all gots a shot at the kingdom.

2 corinthians is not prayer language because you say it is, prayer language is what Yeshua says it is an according to Yeshua this is not prayer, Yeshua never ever syas anything to anyone unless the father brings him there as can be seen in all places were they speak to Yeshua it is because Yeshua is there in front of them that is not prayer. Yesua tells us prayer is inside our hearts the place where only the father will hear us, that is prayer. again you are taking the "he" in 1 john arbitrarily without using what Yeshua told you are applying the attributes to the wrong person. listen to Yeshua listen to paul and you will know who they are talking about. Just because you refuse to believe what Yeshua and Paul say is the reason you are in error it is because you refuse to believe the clear words they have given you and again i say we do not have the right to reinterpret things because it is simply what we want. the bible is clear believe the words of the bible not your heart, your heart and all our hearts are wicked as Yehovah tells us and doing what we want in the bible is dangerous to salvation truth is what the bible instructs what we want is wicked.

Pleading with Jesus, 3 times, to relieve pain is not prayer?

Just ignore the context of 1 John 5:13-15 and apply it to the Father, when its obviously all about Jesus?

Do you believe that Yeshua is the only proper name for the son of God?

Just curious on the 3rd question, not the first two.

Thank you both for responding and I enjoy your discussion. I like your pointer fingers Bvenski! JP I am not saying the bible is not inspired but I am saying that not everything is truth. God did not guarantee that every word would be truth. That is why Jesus as our messiah is the way the truth and the life. Even Satan twisted God's words in speaking to Eve and Jesus. Personally, I pray to the Father through Jesus and feel they both hear me. I direct prayers to the Father because Jesus did. I do not believe in the Trinity. I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings by what I posted. If I did I sincerely apologize.

What do you both do for the Memorial of Christ's death? Personally I do the bread and wine other times but this would be the 1st year I am not with the JW. I woke up to that last year at the Memorial.

3rd question his name is Yeshua in aramaic or Yehoshua in hebrew if you want me to prove it biblically i can and i can also show you that the name jesus is a bastardisation of the greek iesous.

for 1 john no yeshua cannot hear us first of all you do not know who he speaks of when he says" he can hear us", John is speaking to the gentille church and God could not hear their prayers before the sacrifice of Yeshua, before people used to ask the Jews to pray to Yehovah for them, but now since his sacrifice all can now pray to the father in his name

as for context
1John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. (ESV2011)

it says if we ask for anything according to his will, who's will? it is always the will of god

1John 5:16 If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life—to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. (ESV2011)

verse 16 he shall ask and who will give him life? GOD will you cannot just invent your own context and go and contradict Paul in Eph 5:20 and also ignore what Yeshua taught in matthew 6 and contradict Yeshua himself here

John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. (ESV2011)

Yeshua says to ask the father in his name and it will be done but you invent your own context and contradict Yeshua himself

John 16:23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. (ESV2011)

and here too you contradict Yeshua he says in that day YOU WILL ASK NOTHING OF ME, Yeshua says in that day this the day of his resurrection and glorification you will ask nothing OF HIM this is telling strictly you do not pray or ask anything of him. Yeshua is the one talking do you still think you have right context in 1 john because now you are saying John contradicted Yeshua and Paul. the Bible interprets the Bible you cannot invent your own context and go and contradict Paul and Yeshua. there are places where it is the father speaking through Yeshua and people think it was Yeshua saying those words, sure it was Yeshua's voice but it was the father talking through him and there many examples of this. John is very complicated if you do not do your homework you can easily get confused, he is extremely spiritual when he speaks but he does not contradict anybody

we cannot worship or pray to what is created

Rom 1:21 because, although they knew Elohim, they did not esteem Him as Elohim, nor gave thanks, but became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened. (TS98)
Rom 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, (TS98)
Rom 1:23 and changed the esteem of the incorruptible Elohim into the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds and of four-footed beasts and of reptiles. (TS98)
Rom 1:24 Therefore Elohim gave them up to uncleanness in the lust of their hearts, to disrespect their bodies among themselves, (TS98)
Rom 1:25 who changed the truth of Elohim into the falsehood, and worshipped and served what was created rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amĕn. (TS98)

undiscerning heart is not being able to rightly divide the truth, and then they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the image of corruptible man. Yeshua was a corruptible man when he was on earth, he did not commit sin because he obeyed the father, but without this obedience he could gone astray.

then it says that they worshipped and served what was created instead of the creator, Yeshua was created and you worship him instead of the father, so you can go on Praying to Yeshua but do you think he will hear you, well he never has before whenever he spoke to people after his death it was always when he was there in front of them and could be seen, the father does not have to be seen he hears you from heaven. but even worse if you pray to Yeshua you are praying in the wind because since his resurrection his name in heaven has been changed

Rev 3:12 The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name. (ESV2011)

he will write on us the name of his God and his own new name, Yeshua has a new name it is not Yeshua anymore.

Jesus never stopped people from worshipping him. Jesus is deserving of the same honor as his God and Father. John 5:23 When Stephen was being stoned he prayed to Jesus. Acts 7:59 , John 14:14 , 1 Corinthians 1:2 . There are different kinds of worship but all is toward the higher being from the lower being. King David was worshipped, 1 Kings 1:23 , Joshua worshiped the captain of Gods armies , Joshua 5:14 . Worship is a word like love, there are different kinds of love and worship. It has to do with your mind/spirit . In your spirit when you worship Yahweh you acknowledge Him as Yahweh, Jesus with Jesus. When worshipping Jesus you know he is not Yahweh. Worship literally means, bend over, bow down as a gesture of respect, and submission to humans, angels , Jesus or Yahweh.

1 John 4:1-6 Involves more than distinguishing God from Christ. There are people who are of an antichrist spirit. False prophets, teachers, and brethren . Galatians 2:4 , Romans 16:17 , 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 , 2 John 1:9-11 This deception existed then and even more so today. John tells us how to recognize false spirits; those who do not know who God is and who Christ is, those who cannot understand true doctrine and those who do not have the love of God. The Holy Spirit leads the saints into all truth. The saints are the called and chosen elect. To discern is to see the difference, identify the false spirit. Not everyone on earth has the Holy Spirit and this should not be a surprise. Not everyone claiming to be a Christian is a Christian. The parable of the sower should ell us this. Are we to believe whatever someone says or should we test their spirit. Is what they say in agreements with scripture or doctrine. Why do some people get upset and say, who do you think you are to say who is of Gods Spirit or not. The gift of discernment was given for this very reason. Are Jehovahs Witnesses of Gods Spirit, how about Roman Catholics ? What about all the other 30,000 churches ? If the Holy Spirit of the Father is not your teacher then you are deceived. Is that a cruel and improper statement ? 1 Corinthians 10:21 , 2 Corinthians 6:15 , 2 Corinthians 6:16 It is very plain in scripture that the saints have every right to discern and identify people with a false spirit. Once we expose them we do not associate with them, we leave them alone, God will handle them. Discernment is not condemnation but rather judging with righteous judgment.

Hebrews 1:6 , 1 Peter 3:22 , Matthew 2:2 , Matthew 2:11 , Philippians 2:10 , Matthew 14:33 , Matthew 28:9 , Matthew 28:17 , John 9:38
The above scriptures have a variety of people and angels worshipping Jesus. Some people get all upset if you say Jesus came from God. Don’t you realize you and I did too. Our lives came from God and at death we unconsciously in human spirit return to God. All humans except Adam, Eve and Jesus Christ are born by physical reproduction. Adam, Eve and Jesus were created differently. If we focus on Jesus, his God and Father created the entire person or soul of Jesus, the body and the human spirit of Jesus was directly created by Yahweh. Mary was the dust of the ground as we all are and the breath of life, the human spirit was given by the Father to His son. Everything Yahweh created He created for Jesus, the heir of all things seen and unseen. Jesus Christ was the greatest human being to ever live. Jesus was one of a kind, the only begotten son of Yahweh. The life of Jesus was therefore precious beyond words to describe, so precious that his sacrifice would cover the sins of all humanity past, present and future. The Father, Yahweh, is the greatest of all and His son at His right hand is second greatest. A name above all other names except the name of Yahweh. As the son of Yahweh Jesus deserves our worship and we like Stephen in Acts 7:59-60 can pray to the son of Yahweh. Those people and angels that worshipped Jesus or prayed to him did so to honor him and thus honor his Father. Jesus and his Father deserve the same honor, John 5:23 . Worship and prayer is directed to the one being worshipped or prayed to. If to Yahweh then as to Yahweh if Jesus then Jesus. You address each accordingly to who they are. We do not have direct contact with Yahweh as Jesus did, we go through a mediator, Jesus. Without Jesus we can do nothing and by the will of Yahweh every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of Yahweh the Father.
