He states that many would come claiming to be Jesus , Matthew 24:5
As you know punctuation was not used in original scriptures. If Jesus came in his Fathers name would he be claiming to be God ? These many come in the name of Jesus, claiming to represent Jesus, they say Jesus is the Messiah and yet will deceive many. How can many be deceived if this verse is viewed in its error form and tells us plainly about what the deception is ? In short, if you come in the name of someone you do not claim to be that someone. As I have explained this error fits well with what you see in the world, they all come in the name of Jesus and declare Jesus as messiah but of all these professing Christian churches I know of none that have a man who claims to be Jesus. There are some very far out X file types that do have someone who does claim to be Jesus and some even claim to be God. Also I do not think Jesus was talking about Herods temple because his answer was to the question , when will these things be and what is the sign of your coming and the end of the age, the destruction of Herods temple had nothing to do with the questions asked. I think the temple Jesus was speaking about is the future antichrist temple. Then there is Matthew 24:14 , the preaching of the gospel as a witness to the nations and THEN THE END WILL COME. How could this be a sign of the end if it was preached all along ?
Obviously it was not the true gospel that was preached all along if the gospel is required to be preached as a witness just before the end comes.
