This contradiction of titles continues to this day - even among believers in the Son of God. For us who have been "dismissed" by our families, we know that peace was not expanded when God taught us to stop accusing Yeshua of being God. We lost friendship with family when our behavior became unacceptable to family members. We have been divided - not as severely as that division that took place between the Jewish families, maybe - but it is still there.

Yeshua, Himself, said:

Lk 12:49–53 “I came to cast fire on the earth, and would that it were already kindled! I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how great is my distress until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

Mt 10:34–39 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

We however, are to be peacemakers ourselves. At least it seems so, right?

Mt 5:9
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

If we discuss what Yahweh gave His Son to tell us, it seems that we are in "division mode." I realize most will not want to do that - for various reasons. I don't think many people enjoy verbal conflict, nor should we. Yeshua does not approve of liars and deceivers. There is a penalty for being someone who causes harm to others with their erroneous speaking.

Mk 9:38–50 John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us.” But Jesus said,
“Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me. For the one who is not against us is for us. For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward. Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea. And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, ‘where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’ For everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
