The idea of the trinity developed in the Roman Empire after Paul went to Rome . At that time Rome was dominated by pagans and no doubt many of these pagans had heard Paul preach but because God was not going to choose them their understanding of the words Father, Son and Holy Spirit confused them. Since they did not have the teacher of the Holy Spirit the leaned heavily on their pagan roots to understand what they thought God was. They eventually declared the trinity as God in church councils. There were other councils that ruled on spiritual matters that are also based on paganism. The Roman church became the dominant and only church in the west for about 1200 years and even to this day is thought by many to be the extension of true Christianity or the church of Pentecost. The Catholic Church is one of the harlot daughters of Revelation 17:5 . Rome cannot be the mother, the mother is the beginning, it is where Christianity began and was first perverted. Rome is a harlot daughter of Jerusalem. The protestant reformation rejected the Pope and some of Catholic teaching but failed to eliminate all of it and therefore carried many heresies into protestantism. This made all the churches that came after Martin Luther infected with at least some of the pagan doctrines. An evil tree cannot produce good fruit. This is the condition of the churches today, all of them, no matter what denomination, no matter how much real truth they may have. All the 501C3 churches are deceived. God knew this would happen and through the prophet Ezekiel in chapter 34 took action to eliminate men entirely from being shepherds and HE and Jesus took over. When I write about this many here will not accept it due to their fierce loyalty to some man they think is a great man of God. The only true great man of God that ever lived is Jesus Christ. All of your great men are figments of a deceived mind. You will not give up on your man in order to have God and Christ. Men have always been the tool of Satan to deceive.
