What does the heart symbolize ? It can’t be the organ the pumps blood through the body.

The heart symbolizes your human spirit, the breath of life, your mind or the spirit in man. This is the part of your soul that God is interested in, the spirits of just men made perfect. The human spirit is who you are and not your fleshly body. The flesh is the temporary dwelling of Gods Spirit. Your human spirit is your intelligence and memory not your fleshly brain. Matter is not alive, can’t think or do anything by itself for as faith without works is dead so is the body without the spirit. The spirit gives life, the flesh profits nothing. That which is of the flesh IS flesh and that which is of the spirit IS spirit.
